Course Description

There's a reason most workplace comedies focus on different personalities working together - because we fail to realize how unique personality traits drive almost every interaction we have (in both good and bad ways).

We'll kick off this session by putting you through a behavioral assessment, then walking you through what it means - for you as a manager, for the direct reports you hope to leadand for your career. As a result, managers will understand the value in modifying their coaching approach for the individual in front of them rather than a "one size fits all" approach. 

Alternative title if you want to have more fun - Pop the Hood (Because getting the best results mandates you understand more about each direct report, identifying what drives their worldview and adjusting your coaching style accordingly.)

Emphasizing Strengths

Once you know an employee's strengths, it's up to the manager and the manager and the employee to use them as much as possible. Focusing on strengths doesn't happen enough in the workplace. 

Acknowledging Risk

Ying, meet yang. Identifying employee weaknesses and proactive engaging in conversations designed to maximize awareness and minimize the risk of the trouble spots is good for everyone.

Mapping Teams

Visualization of an entire team's strengths and weaknesses allows you to facilitate better, increase the diversity of through/approach and promote teamwork. Great performance follows.
